Discussion»Questions»Politics» Rush Limprod declared that LIBERAL was a nasty word, so libs started calling themselves progressive. Was THAT their downfall??
You believe Rush had that much influence in 1988 as a brand new national show for a whole 3 months before the election?
I had not heard of him at that point but I was also in Jr High. I had heard of (but not heard on the radio) in 1992.

When Rush came on the air, he was a breath of fresh air. He took the country by storm. He was much more libertarian than he is now. I was a fan for years. I LOVED what he said, until he started talking about pot.. He's NO libertarian.. To cap it off, when he was spouting his drug warrior crap, he was USING drugs...
He's nothing but a right wing hypocrite.

Like I said I did not listen to him back then....I did now and then in early 2000s. Never thought of him as a libertarian but like you said that was a different time. Do you like Neal Bortz he is supposed to be a libertarian? If he is even still on air.
