I like the feel of old books.  The pages feel  like dryer paper, the spine is usually limber, and they have a library smell.  I have a copy of the Thornbirds which has a fabric cover and is huge (700 pages).  I read it every few years........one of my very favorite books.  It is from the mid 70s so not that old, but it has been read many times.   I also have a copy of a Scottish Presbyterian Psalter that was published in the early 1800s. (if memory serves).  It has been well used and I love having it in my possession.  I think that is the oldest book I own.
