Political correctness, passive-aggressive, what other epithets can you think of?

Do you make use of them towards your opponent in an arguing? What are your aims by making use of them?

    To succinctly point to exactly what they are doing that they think I cannot see.

    I have no idea what Political Correctness even is.  That term makes little sense to me.

    I sure know passive-aggressive when I see it.

    That is when you are pretending to talk about one thing but really mean another that you can deny when someone calls you on it.

    Kind of a politically correct way to be sneaky.

    Mmhmmm. The irony behind the accusations of someone using the passive aggressive behaviour is that the accusations themselves can be very passive-aggressive behaviour under circumstances. That's what makes the aim of using it as an epithet very interesting.

    Quite funny to see some of the epithets as I can place avatars from here on most of them. Lol. I did miss the passive-aggressive behaviour though. Thank you very much. :-)

    Oh, it left off "virtue signaling" and "white knight."

    Virtue signaling = being nice to somebody. Because, of course, no one would ever do that unless they were trying to get something in return...;-D..

    white knight = someone who is nice to a woman on the Internet or who defends her (usually woman-positive) opinions. The implication of "white knight" is the person doing the defending hopes to get sexual favors in return....;-D...

    LOL  Oh I remember it well, Old, but he never knew what he was really talking about so I never paid what he said much heed. 

    I really like these terms though on that site and I want to be sure and take advantage of my new vocabulary.

  • I would not be using any terms of judgement directed towards an opponent in a debate.
    I'd be focusing on the evidence and reasoning to support my point of view,
    or questions about my opponent's arguments.
