Absolutely! We live in an age of consumerism and commercialization. I need water to drink, but I would also like to have a warm bath and a garden and flowers.
A warm bath, a garden and flowers. Those are your needs and I find no fault in them. But the are not extravagancies. Some people buy a new car every two years. Some women buy lots of new jewelry that they might wear only a few times. My sister is like that. She likes to show off her bling but can barely afford to pay off her doctor bills.
Not anymore. I wound up with too many things that I just never used or used so rarely that it didn't justify the purchase price. Now, before I buy something, I ask myself, "Do you really need that?" Generally, the answer is, "No."

@SS -- There are some car repairs which require the steering wheel be detached from the steering column. The steering wheel on almost all cars fits on to the column by mating a splined sleeve on the wheel to a corresponding splined area at the top of the column shaft.
On many cars (particularly older American cars), this wheel-to-column joint was a press fit. Installing the wheel is no problem, because the threaded nut which secures the wheel generates enough pressure using ordinary hand tools to force the wheel sleeve on to the column. Getting the wheel off, however, requires a specialized tool (a steering wheel puller) which generates continuous pressure on the wheel to pull it off the column.
