Yes. We will NOT let Trump trample on the Constitution. But, I don't think we'll have to form militias.. Right wingers said the military would JOIN the fight if Obama came after their guns.. This left winger says that the military would JOIN the fight if Trump comes after our right to protest.

Those on the right have repeatedly stated that the Oathkeepers, from the local police to the military, will not stand against their fellow citizens. You seem to agree. History does not support that view, however.
In addition to the multitude of times that police have acted against protesters, the National Guard has been called out several times, including Baltimore (2015), Ferguson (2014), Seattle (1999), LA (1992), Kent State (1970), Berkley (1969), Detroit (1967), Arkansas (1957), and Flint (1937). I may be mistaken, but I do not recall them ever standing with the protesters.
It seems the tides are turning that way. The rhetoric is very similar just from a different political bent.
It's a misconception that all citizen militias are right wing. There's lot's that aren't. Just not as interesting to the click-bait audience.
