Historically, robes were popular garment for men and women. How can we revive this trend?

An example would be historical Chinese garment called hanfu. Don't they look so good in them?

    Why would you want to? That is a lot to wear and wash. Less is better.

    You can wash the inside layers. The others perhaps once a week or so.
