    On the scale of wasteful indulgences, hot dog eating contests are barely a blip.

    Also, given how nutritionally horrid most hot dogs are (I like to joke they get 110% of the their calories from fat), perhaps their consumption should ONLY occur in hot dog eating contests.

    Yes, there's something wrong: "win's" (no apostrophe, it's a subjunctive verb, not a possessive noun).
