Why can't we have nice things?

Nice.

  • I suppose that depends on what you consider nice.
My life is full of thousands of nice things and the best of them are free, such as friendships, birdsong, fresh air, and love. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at December 1, 2016 10:22 PM MST

  • We can. One person's "nice" is another person's "nasty". It's all in the perspective.

  • I've got a one word answer for you, my friend. "Cats"

Did you feel that shiver run down your spine?

We can and we do. It's just that I can never take you anywhere without you doing something that gets the both of us thrown out.

I have nice things; many of them.  Yesterday I saw a photograph that I loved and went right to the photographer's website and bought a signed print. He is in London.   I also just had pavers put down on my front terrace; it looks beautiful.  I also used rocks on part of the front yard................they came from Syracuse NY.............all the way to Florida.  Right now I'm eating some very "nice" tangerines.

So the answer to your question is:  We can.
