    I doubt it.

  • NO the CHinese are more sensible... but they are not pleased and there are likely to be consequences, unless Trumpet apologises and eats humble pie..see this is what I mean about him being dangerous ...he has NO idea how to behave on the international stage.. he stupidly commented that he thinks Nigel Farage would make a good UK/US go between. Trump was rude and insulting.. we choose our own representative... he was also stupid and ill informed as Farage is hated here.

I'm worried that Trump could get us involved in a war out of his sheer incompetence.

  • That's my point exactly.. he blunders along ignorantly and some countries are easily offended.. we weren't offended even tho it was rude, we just laughed our heads off but Brits have a sense of humour, (even if it's a weird one lol) but not every country has a sense of humour.. and Chinese are notoriously sensitive when they feel insulted or dishonoured.  And that's without all the other errors he is likely to make

  • I don't like Trump and think he as idiot but how can you suggest Taiwan is the bad guy and China is the good guy in this situation?  Why should China be placated in their desire to take over Taiwan?

  • His total refusal to follow the script might prove interesting .. no one wants to go to war ... It's expensive and bad for business

  • Depends what business.  War is highly profitable these days.

  • No.  The Chinese aren't stupid and there are many more effective ways of exacting revenge if they think they've been slighted.

Which one(s) they choose is anyone's guess.  But they won't forget this, and sooner or later this will have an influence on Chinese actions or attitudes, probably to the detriment of the US and possibly others too.

I don't think you need worry about other nations' military reactions to the US.  Their diplomatic reactions may be something else entirely, but having an elderly Biff Tannen in the White House is always going to be a bit of a liability. This is what happens when you send a boy to do a man's job. He's not even in office yet and is screwing up on the international scene. Only an incompetent can do so badly so quickly.
