In an episode of NCIS LA, a Chinese man named Hung was being interviewed. Sam walked in and said, "Well, Hung..." Cracked us up. What sort of thing makes you laugh?

  • Didn't look like the usual type of comedy but I've no doubt she found lots to laugh at on her travels. :)

  • Quite a bit. I have quite a sense of humor, and quite a whacked one, at that, at times.
The show, Impractical Jokers is a fine, fine example. Great laughs!

  • You're not alone but I've never understood that one. Of course, there are exceptions...
Man goes to doctor, says, "Doc, I can't stop passing wind. It's happening all the time. They don't smell bad but it's not very convenient. Can you help?"
Doctor gives him a prescription and tells him to come back in a week's time.
Man comes for second appointment and says, "What did yoiu do to me, Doc? I'm farting just as much but not they really stink."
And the doctor says, "Good, we've fixed up your sense of smell. Now lets think about your flatulence."

  • Humans being silly or absurd.

Like when my eight-year-old mother when she got down on all fours to demonstrate how her dog barked.

I once had a boyfriend who had a violent temper. When he had just missed a train, he kicked the closing door. He spent the next five minutes hopping up and down on one foot, wailing at the top of his voice about his sore toe.

But, before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that who cares? He's a mile away and you've got his shoes. - John Cleese.

The collision of the unexpected: an idea goes one way and bumps into another coming from the opposite direction.

I thought the shoe thing was Jack Handy from SNL. Google him...his thoughts are very funny. This post was edited by Element 99 at December 5, 2016 7:21 PM MST

  • I admire your mother's dexterity. If I got down to bark like a dog it would be some time before I managed to get up again. And ya gotta love what happened to the boyfriend. Were you able to control the laughter?

But you've summed it up with the unexpected. That's such a big part of humour.

  • Knowing my boyfriend, I had to control my laughter and yes, I managed. But others on the crowded train platform... He was none too pleased.

  • It's hard to think of anything specific. Sarcasm, bad puns, satire, irony... just about every type of humor, really. I don't think I'm easily amused, but I do try to see the funny side of just about everything.

I like humour in a various of ways. Monty Python will be some of the sketches and movies that give me a great laugh. Not to make use of the usual ones I found another one to add here.
