Ummm.. Kinda, evolution is a slow and gradual process that doesn't make the big leaps and bounds many people assume it does. Also evolution only states that creatures evolve based on abilities and traits that help them procreate. Humans with higher intellect become more able to procreate and spread their genes. So when you here people say certain mental disorders such as Autism may be our next stage of evolution, it is a sign of clear misunderstanding of any theories of evolution and how it works. On multiple levels in fact.
It just shows the sharp contrast between the way different people view others apparently based on differing beliefs ie all created equal or some races a little slower in evolving.
