Apart from visiting the grandkids (and great grandkids) we don't bother with Christmas any more so we don't have Christmas lights. But some of our neighbours take a lot of trouble to decorate their homes. They're very popular and quite pretty.I guess "too many" would be "more than they could afford" or "more than good taste would dictate".
I think these crazy laser light show things people are doing is a tad too much. It's tacky. Oh and any amount of those God awful LED Christmas lights is too many. They look terrible.
