What does it mean if a person is sensitive? Do you have an example?

They break out in hives.

I think there is several different ways to describe that. One a person can be very sensitive toward others feelings, or they can be easily offended by others, or they are very serious about their convictions, making them sensitive.

I don't use the word sensitive per se. I'd like to interpret it this way when used.

Being sensitive is respecting others until you are disrespected.

Being sensitive is setting one's boundaries.

Because nobody wants to be treated as inferior or taken for a fool. One can only take so much.

We treat everyone the way we like to be treated.
