I expect the Trump team will eventually find some higher-profile performers (I read Garth Brooks might be interested), but it's amusing how Trump's election has thrown many norms (such as performers WANTING to play at the inaugural) for a loop.

  • Well that's fine by me.  If I can avoid Trump, Nugent, Kid Rock, and Garth Brooks all at the same time?  I say good.

IDK though.  Those guys are pretty high profile to a large demographic who don't give a rat's a** about music and art other than it being about "'Murica"

    That's my impression, too.

Of course, Scott Baio was the highest-profile celebrity at the nominating convention, so there is some precedence for this...;-D...

Close your eyes when they  are playing in some hillbilly arena and the aroma of double-wide trailer and something frying in the air ...  the scent of the Trump voter.

I don't really care. I won't be there and I will see none of it on TV. And Nugent is farther to the right than Darth Vader...so he would fit right in. He could perform his signature song "Stranglehold"...very appropriate for what the "t" word will be doing to the country. This post was edited by Element 99 at December 8, 2016 5:38 PM MST
