Are theatre support workers in Ireland/ the UK the equivalent of surgical techs/ assistants in the US?
I'm trying to find out what the lowest position for someone who works in the operating room is called. If these positions aren't the same, does anyone know the difference between them or what the UK equivalent to a surgical tech would be?
lol Did you ever watch House? Dr. House used to watch surgeries while he was making a diagnosis. He'd be up in a big room with a huge window that looked down on the surgical suite. That's a theater... or theatre, as the case may be. One of my latest writing assignments has me matching up healthcare jobs with the Irish equivalent. It would be nice if the rest of the world just got with the program and started referring to things by their American names. Sheesh. I bet these theatres don't even have popcorn. What a ripoff.
lol You guys are no help at all. I can only imagine what the person who hired me would do if I submitted a paper discussing "little people," popcorn, and glorified projectionists.
