How do youse guys post music videos on here? Why is it that I don't know how?

  • Easy Randy.

    Go to YouTube.

    Find video you want to put on here.

    R/click video and choose, 'Copy Embed Code'.

    Return to AM and go to your question/answer.

    Go to 'Insert' on the top line and pick 'Insert Video' from the drop menu.  Two little tabs will pop up in a box.  One is 'general', the other is 'Embed'.  Go to that tab, r/click and choose 'paste'. 

    Done.

    Now, if someone can inform me how to get a gif to play.....

    @Mr. Witch -- You insert .gif pictures the same way you insert any other type of picture.

    However, unless they fixed the bug, you have to get any .gif pictures from the Internet. You can't upload them from your computer.

    Compare the following:

    A) Inserted using a Internet URL


    B) Uploaded from my computer hard drive

    Thank you, Mr.; I will follow your instructions. 

    My gifs used to gif also, but lately they've just remained as still photos, so I appreciate OldSchool's explanation below. It's a bit technical for me, but I'll fight through that part. Getting my gifs to work again is worth it. Thanks, OS!

    I imagine it's hell not having functioning GIFS.

    1) Select and copy the embed code for the video you wish to post:


    2) Click on the Insert/Edit Video button


    3) Click on the "Embed" tab, Paste the embed code in the provided text box, and click "OK"


    4) Post reply as usual. Enjoy your video in a commie-free world.

  • Gifs are easy and you don't have to download them to your hard drive at all. Use this formula on the answer page.
