    Not all sycophants matter to Trump.  It is if they are useful tools.  Otherwise, he could care less and they are expendable. 

    For instance if Hillary complimented him, it would mean a lot more than if Joe Nobody complimented him.  He can USE Hillary's words and get more traction than some nobody.

    Compliments are only good if they lead to publicity and/or future financial gain.
