For the last few decades I mainly had jobs in sales and those sales were on the phone. I would spend literally all day to find 2 to maybe 6 people a day that would buy something I was selling. Some jobs were more sales per day. But, the point is, I had to stay on the phone to make money. So, to keep sane, I would bring in all my paints and chalks and pens, etc. and I would paint a picture while I was working. In order for them to put up with me, I had to sell more than anyone else or they would never let me do this nonsense. It breaks every rule imaginable, but who is going to argue with me when I tell them it is why I am able to sit for so long and sell so much.
So, I paint my dreams and it made work not only bearable, but I would look forward to going. And people at work would ask me for drawings. Everyone was hurting for dough, so I would give them away just so they would not complain and let me keep doing it.
