    Well, I lived in Chicago.  It was colder than that a lot of times with the wind-chill it would go to 60 below sometimes.  No joke.

    I dressed warm, froze my ass off and stayed in heated rooms whenever possible.  What else?

  • I work outside so I would be wearing thermal shirts and pants underneath my clothes, then a sweatshirt and heavy coat with heavy snow cap, then my wool military grade socks with boots, along with warm gloves. Fortunatly, I also have heated seats in my Acura for when I need to leave the house.

    I think you have all bases covered.   You may need a St. Bernard with a cask in case of emergencies, but otherwise I think you got it DOWN.

  • I have a small "emergency bin" in my trunk that has all kinds of things in it such as granola bars, water, flashlight, batteries, warm blankets, first-aid kit, and some other things in case of a breakdown in any weather. These are good to have especially if you live in Atlanta, Georgia. They can't handle winter, lol.
