On DAY ONE of the first 100 days whaddya wanna bet that US sanctions on Russia are lifted? Ya got Trump/Tillerson there. No doubt, right?

Russia installed them for a reason. Can you figure out what it is?

Rosie, this is WAY over my head.  I researched this and I cannot understand half of it.  It seems that Russia and the US may benefit from this change in policy.   I cannot tell whether it is a good move or a bad one.

    Hello t:

When Russia invaded the Ukraine, we put sanctions on Putin..  It's no more difficult than that.  Rosie thinks Trump will remove them..  I do too..

It is WAY more difficult than that.  Here is what I read.... it is a tad more complex...

Putin is a murderous dictator. An authoritarian who invaded Crimea and wants to take back all of Ukraine and possibly more. He knows Trump has no desire to interfere with his plans. Both Trump and Tillerson have global investments. Tillerson has worked for Exxon for 41 years. Do you really think he will ever do anything to hurt Exxon? Trump has global business interests. Do you think he will ever do anything to hurt his financial empire? Tillerson has done things on behalf of Exxon through the years that were not in the best interests of the United States. Do you think he will change his MO and suddenly be loyal to this country? All the PET appointees are problematic, apart from being ignorant/inexperienced/uneducated. Perry said he would get rid of the Department of Energy. PET made him head of it. Betsy deVos, billionaire, loves vouchers and despises public education and PET made her head of the education department. The Anti-global warming guy will be where he can do the most harm. Mike Pence is anti-LGBT so we know what he is. PET has a retired brain surgeon as head of HUD. I think Carson is the token black. Russia is our enemy. Russia will always be our enemy. Cozying up to them just makes it easier for them to do us harm. If PET does not understand that then he is truly dumber than a brick wall, no insult to brick walls intended here. I see NOTHING WHATSOEVER that is positive from that unholy alliance for America. NOTHING. It will get much worse and  what is so awful is that PET supporters think he is the answer to their dreams when in fact he is creating this nightmare from which we will not awaken until/unless he is gone for good. Even then how much damage will he and his cohorts have done in the meantime? It is not good Sharonna. At all.  Remember this. Putin was actively involved in taking Hillary down because he wanted PET, his puppet, to have the power to do what Putin wants. That is precisely what is going to happen. So far PET has never criticized Putin. He attacked our Intelligence Department and defended Putin. Why? Thank you for your reply and Happy Thursday!  :)Oh. Because of the sanctions Exxon had a huge financial deal frozen. Once sanctions are removed Exxon can go ahead and make billions more on oil deals with Russia.  Why do you think Tillerson was awarded the "Friend of Russia" medal? While some US sanctions did allow Exxon to proceed with some of their oil deals removal of the sanctions means full steam ahead. That is the point of the sanctions. To hurt Russia financially. Of course that is not a unilateral occurrence. It means US companies doing business with them could be adversely impacted. Exxon was. It's a two-way street. Also did you know that Condi Rice and Robert Gates endorsed the selection of Tillerson? Did you wonder why? Here is why. They are paid consultants for guess who...yep. Exxon. So of course they would endorse him. Upon that basis some folks think he has got to be a good guy. No he doesn't. Follow the money honey. See who benefits from this. It's always about the money. Isn't it?  :( This post was edited by RosieG at December 15, 2016 5:48 AM MST

The CIA did not say Russia installed Trump. It claims Russia interfered into the election with the release of emails.  (Notice they are not claiming the emails are false or fake....) As you said in another question shouldn't the voters have all available information?
The FBI is not in agreement.

    Hello Rosie:

The sanctions will be lifted..  Putin will CONSOLIDATE his hold on the Ukraine.  Tillerson and Putin will tear up the Arctic drilling for oil.  Putin will invade the Baltic states. Europe WILL be threatened and maybe even invaded.

Trump is Putin's useful idiot.. He'll LOOK the other way.

Yup, Rosie..  This ain't good - not good at all.

This is what I can't figure out excon. Perhaps you can help me understand. Why is that folks like us are so aware of the dangers that lie ahead regarding every aspect of PET and his appointees and their proclivities but those who support him think PET is the answer to all their problems? How can they NOT SEE what we see? Or do they see and they simply do not care? I don't get it. Thank you for your reply and Happy Thursday!   :)
