    I am not terribly surprised. As the party of Angry White Guys, the GOP knows it is on the losing side of history. So what they are doing is using every lever of government structure to their advantage to stave off their inevitable defeat. Hence, the massive investment in voter ID/voter suppression laws, gerrymandering, area-based rather than population-based voting, etc.
