What's your opinion on partial DNA profiles?

  • I suppose it depends on what use they have - say in forming a medical diagnosis of a genetic condition - one might only need part of the genome.
    Otherwise, I would imagine that for most purposes the whole DNA profile would be necessary.

    Very good, Hart.   I was watching a crime show and they were arguing the uselessness of a partial DNA profile.  But the medical diagnosis idea does fly.
