In general, people on the political left believe government should be employed to the benefit of the general populace.
In general, people on the political right believe the government should either benefit the Rich and Powerful, or be dismantled.
While it is possible for someone on the left to think, "Person X, although he's right-leaning, is the best person for the job," it is extremely unlikely someone on the right to think, "That guy, although he's left-leaning, is ther PERFECT person to enrich my political contributors or dismantle that government department."
He is the guy who briefly retweeted a fake story about Hillary and child porn in a pizzeria. He passed on the info. His son was fired from the transition team for perpetuating the story. His son said until there is proof that it is not true it is still a story. I think the dad and the kid are both bonkers. Thank you for your reply m2c and Happy Saturday to thee. The position Flynn fills does not have to be confirmed by the Senate. That is purposeful because he would never be confirmed. I doubt that his Dem credentials serve him well if he is willing to support Trump which he has all along. Being a lifelong Democrat is meaningless if your voice and vote go to a Republican. You know that.
@m2C -- I don't think General Flynn represents Democrats in general any more than Arlen Specter does.
It's possible Trump will appoint some token Democrat (just as he appointed Dr. Ben Carson as his token House N*gg*r). Norm Mineta (D- California) served as Secretary of Transportation in the Darth Cheney/Boy Emperor regime, so it does happen.
But I can't imagine Trump appointing a genuine mainstream Democrat to any position of real power.
