I don't think so. In my opinion Trump was the ultimate embodiment of how American politics has operated for quite some time. Dirty, mud slinging, issue dodging, and vitriolic.
If Trump's presidency changes how we do things in the USA it will be as a reactionary consequence opposing the tactics he employed. I hope that happens.
