Why are buildings so ugly?

They're buildings.........................enough said.

Wellllll in truth many are not.. I have always been a fan of architecture, even when i was a kid i'd sit on the bus and stare out at all the houses and admire them.. I guess i never grew out of that.. went for a family walk today - I live in an awesome but very pressured and very crowded area and yet we have so many treasures - gorgeous houses... fabulous... 

And fwiw i am a huge fan of American wooden houses.. I'd die for one of those - they are all different.. that's cool..

Modern architecture and design is bland and boring.   That's really all that can be said about it.
