Everybodys best is something different...

When someone says "You deserve the best."  How do you know that what you just gave up wasn't "your best?"    Will you wish later that you fought harder to keep it?  Will you be angry at yourself that you let foolish pride ruin "your best?"  I guess you would...  Also is it never too late?
