Do you ever click on the 'Home' button and view the stuff in the 'What's Happening Around the Mug' section?

its basically a live feed of Mug members answering questions, replies, comments etc..

FYI, that's the "landing page" page people get when signing in. They have to make an effort to not wind up there. If you go to answerMug.com, that's the page you go to. It's accessible via home and clicking on the logo as well. I haven't wrapped my brain around how people could not know it's there, so if anyone who doesn't know where to find the activity feed wants to pipe up and show/ tell me, I'd be glad for the insights.

I do look at site statistics and flow charts of activity and that page accounts for probably 90% of the incoming member traffic. Maybe the other 10% are coming in via email links and landing on specific discussion pages.

  • i think that the site developers should make that section more noticeable to the members rather than it being hidden away behind the home button (maybe make a dedicated button for the live feed at the top), just to make Live Feeds stand out more so older questions that have been recently answered can get seen so other people can reply as well if they want to.  the Live Feed is just too hidden in my opinion (it should be one of the main focal points of the site). making it stand out more would improve the site and its navigation. i've already wrote a feedback about this last night.

i know that people automatically get directed to the page when they sign in but some don't bother to take the time to explore, and than it gets hidden away and unnoticed- like as i said, it should be one of the main focal points of the site. its little tweaks like this that will enhance the user experience for the site- a 'What's Mugging' button at the top of the page would be a good start and cool to have.

As you can see from the replies to my discussion. the live feeds are hidden away and have gone unnoticed. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at January 3, 2017 5:30 PM MST
