Pay for access to a PET? How businessmanlike is that?  A very billionary thing to do or not? Cheapskate?. Not a host. Just a money collector. Wonder how many of those he will "give" and how many folks will flock to be in his presence and pay through the nose for the privilege of face time with a prez? Does he pay taxes on it or will he simply write it off against the food/entertainment and end up owing no taxes at all? Billionaires have a tough life. They gotta figure out all the angles they can to get money, keep money, charge money , make money.

No. I have not. But I have been to parties where you paid to get in.  Is actually a common thing.

If you pay to go to a party, that's called buying a ticket, it's not called getting an invitation.

Thank you for your reply m2c. I have never experienced that in my entire life. I guess the social circles you inhabit are fancy dancy and not for the likes of me.

No, but I have asked people to bring food and drinks.
    Better known as a potluck.
