Reminds me of the movie "Timecop". Personally, I would rather go for a ride in a driver-less horse and carriage. Self-driving horse. ;p

  • Sure, it'd be interesting. Mind you, at this stage of their development I wouldn't make a habit of it but it'd be interesting to try.

  • I'd check it out.  Don't want one and think they are a silly idea, but I'm still curious.

You might rethink "silly" when you're 80.

  • Honestly, I'd rather use a shuttle service or something.  Of course that could change, but it's not like that problem is that big of one and  isn't already addressed.

The shuttle services will all be driverless. You will pay premium for an actual human and might have to settle for a trained monkey.

Only if the road was a slotted track on an engineered course would I feel safe. I don't trust the technology's ability to handle the unpredictable.

  • "No" ... My uncle, God bless him, died peacefully, in his sleep ... unlike the passengers in his car.

  • Even with all the bugs worked out of it, after so many years of requiring a driver, it would be difficult to make the transition.
