    I love football!!
While I respect his opinion, I don't agree with how he is going about expressing it. Not standing for the anthem is not the proper platform to protest a civil issue. With his celebrity he could do better on a different platform. Not standing for the anthem just makes him look like a douche. It's like spitting on all the people that fought to give him the right to take a knee. In my opinion it's just not right. I also do not agree with people getting shot in the streets by those that are supposed to protect and serve us. But let's protest in a way that doesn't insult those that served, fought and died for our freedoms.
Edit: Wrote the above before question was completed. Well he seems to be wishing he was stylin like he was in the 70's. This post was edited by dragonfly46 at January 6, 2017 8:58 AM MST

Way too many sports figures look like homeless people.  The Yankees may be on their heels right now, but the one thing I admire them for is no long hair and no beards.

For what it's worth, the son of the NYC's mayor sported an afro during his campaign and, if I'm not mistaken, still does.

LOL ... I'm sorry his father became our mayor.  The man is dumber than a box of hair.

  • Is it a new fad again? Any of the black people I know either have shaved heads or locks.

Lenny is some years back. but yes, I guess we will see some retro among circles. It's how hair fashion works, just like the beards or any other fashion. ;-)

  • Guess I'm just getting too old to keep up with this stuff although my hair is long again now. LOL

I've learned to seldom really be surprised about anything when it comes to fashion. :-)

Rooster I think your mind set is like mine. When I think Afro I think "big / high 9 - 15 inches" high. The short ones are like "wanna bees". But then again I gave up trying to keep up with hair fashion. I lost it when Bo Derek showed up with dreadlocks.
