Kinda sorta inspired by Andy B's question here: http://answermug.com/forum/topics/is-it-possible-that-the-planning-stages-of-divorce-can-lead-to
i think i just go into a mode of taking care of myself. i read, sleep, exercise, hangout with friends a bit, have lots of spa days, do some introspective-type thinking. generally rediscover myself after having compromised half my true self for the sake of another. it can be quite liberating.
The usual, science based approaches ... cry, drink too much... just there usual
Listening to sad songs really loud - to cry
Watch The Notebook, 50 First Dates, Sweet Home Alabama, My Sisters Keeper or Stealing Home - to cry
It's funny because I'm always the one to end things. :-/
Not getting into any more. It seems I happen to love me more than most men did. I learned to devote the time and energy into making me happy instead of worrying about why some man isn't happy and trying to blame it on me. Since I am not a depressed, desperate nymphomaniac, I am quite successful at this endeavor. I have lost (on purpose) many women friends who have to have a man at all costs. I don't suffer fools. If that is their choice, fine. Leave me out of the mix. I can't watch that kind of train wreck happening in front of my eyes over and over. Man- hungry women are boring to me. As a friend, I always wind up second over some idiot stranger that happens to have a schwanze.
I hate the women who cannot see this truth. They upset me to no end. Nothing is sadder than a woman who has it all but has no sense of self worth and will grab anything with a wanker to make sure she isn't ALONE. God help them.
I spend a bit of time sorting out what went wrong, when and where and compartmentalize that information in the head-vault as best I can to avoid the same problem in the future. Beyond that, I just return to living sans a partner.
Oh, you know. Pick myself up. Dust myself off. Howl at the moon. Channel my inner Sam Kinison. Lather, rinse, repeat.....;-D...
lol I love it when people piggyback. Imaginative and inquisitive minds. :)
*Waits for the quiz*
That sounds healthy.
*Raises glass to science*
Ooh, those are sad movies. I just caught "About Time" a few weeks back. I cried like a baby at the end. lol Add that to your list.
O_o

Here's looking at you kid ...
Don't think there's much else you can do, you know?
