James Patterson is one of my favorite authors.  Now that he collaborates with other authors, he releases books faster than I can read them.

I like him because he's an easy read and doesn't use a lot of characters that I can't keep track of.

  • That would be J.D.Robb's "Apprentice in Death" which was released a few months ago. The next is due in February. Yeah, yeah, I'm an addict.

She's another favorite of mine along with David Baldacci, Tess Gerritsen and a couple of others.

My favorite author died last year, Pat Conroy.  He had said about a year prior he had one more to get written.  He didn't as far as I know.  I've read all of his books except one.  I will.

  • Sorry to hear that. I'm not sure if I've read any of theirs or not. I'm always looking for something new to read, I'll check Amazon to see if I can find some. :)

He is my favorite author.  For years he was my favorite Southern author, but it grew into full fave.  As a Southerner you will see significances (today that is a real word) that people from other parts of the country might miss.  He is America's wordsmith.  I read paragraphs a couple of times often just because they are so beautifully written.  Conroy wrote Prince of Tides which you may have seen in movie form years ago.  My all time favorite book is Beach Music.  It's not horror in a Stephen King kind of way, but there are horrors of the real kind.  WelbyQuinton on here just finished it and gave great review.  Now I'm about to start one a few  people, WQ being one of them, have highly recommended............The Great and Secret Show by Clive Barker.  It is book number one in a trilogy. • Hobb has produced a line of absolute gems (with the exception, I think. of The Soldier Son trilogy)  I think you'll enjoy yourself immensely.  :)

  • Good. I love all kinds of books. I read everything except the romance books. I tried one once and couldn't get through it. Can't wait to check this out.

    Not in a while.

François-Marie Arouet passed to his greater reward May 30, 1778. Ambrose Bierce left us sometime in 1914, or so it is believed. Sam Clemens wrote his last tome sometime before the spring of 1910 and Will Rogers died in an airplane crash in Alaska August 15th 1935.
