Have you ever lost a pet* and did NOT become sad or otherwise emotional about it? ~
*Lost a pet by any means whatsoever; death by car accident, death by fire, death by drowning, death by sickness/disease, runaway, theft, giveaway, etc.
I'll admit it, I didn't feel too bad when the neighbor's dog ate my duck. That duck was evil, it attacked every living creature that moved and I guess one day he messed with the wrong animal. He was just an overly aggressive duck. I feel bad for not feeling too bad about his demise..
"Yes" ... we had two dogs, at the time, a Cocker Spaniel (Cindy) and a Fox Terrier (Jill). Came home, one day, to find them fighting in their dog house. Jill had mortally wounded Cindy and so we had her put to sleep. Jill was a mean dog, always barking at people, guests, the neighborhood kids, fighting over food and no one really liked her. Because of what she had done, the family voted to have her join Cindy. No one missed her, I'm sure.
I never had a pet, that's why I'm afraid Randy,I might become emotionally involved and that's only going to cause pain rather than pleasure in the long run!
