Do you usually think you'll be more right about something because you keep repeating yourself?

My experience is the more you keep repeating yourself, the more your audience stops listening to you. What are your experiences?

  • I agree with you lady. The more you keep repeating the same thing? I just wander off and do something else or try to change the subject! That's my experience.

Mhmm. I can see it in the eyes of my kids if I just repeated myself. Their focus is somewhere else, and their ears not listening.

I don't like repeating myself: especially to my children. It doesn't matter how many times you repeat yourself: if your children have 'selective hearing' as many do....they will only ignore you.  Lol

  • Try yelling it louder each time and flailing your hands at them.

Mhmm. This is a great wisdom to take along for other aspects of life. Repeating oneself, right or wrong does not make your audience paying more attention. In fact, the opposite will happen.

I usually pulled out the wooden spoon and that worked pretty good too.
That saved me from repeating myself to much.
