Any pipelilnes approved that will go underground Mar- a- Lago or Trump Tower? How about Beverly Hills or The Hamptons? I thought not. WHY?

    Actually, I distinctly recall there being an oil production derrick immediately adjacent to Beverly Hills High School. Unless they store the produced oil on site and truck it away, there is probably a pipeline which takes it to refineries elsewhere in the LA region.

    However, your point about the rich being far more able to enforce their NIMBY desires (I suspect the BHHS pipeline was, in a sense, "grandfathered" in place before Beverly Hills became such a haven of wealth/power) than the poor is well-taken.

  • Yeah you're right.  There a few small derricks all around the city of LA and that area.   It's kind of weird when you see one.
