.

I can't believe you asked this question !!!!!
Well, in my view, there are two ways that could go.
1) As with the original Black Panther movement in the 1960s, the open expression of the consitutional right to self-protection through personal firearms ownership could lead to more restrictive gun control laws (conservative saint Ronald Reagan, then governor of California, signed a fairly restrictive gun control measure in response to Black Panther activities).
2) Faced with a widely armed African-American population, armed racist citizens and police officers would start opening fire anytime an African-American so much as twitched oddly (because they're all armed and he COULD have been reaching for his weapon, right?). Ultimately, I see that as exacerbating the cycle of violence, not diminishing it.
Given how unlikely outcome 1) is in the face of our NRA-owned Congress, I think outcome 2) would be the more probable result.
I can't say I'm in favor of that.
giving even more guns to people is just going to create even more problems
All blacks are already armed. That is why they get shot.
JUST KIDDING. (well a lot of them are)

You do realize it is tongue-in-cheek OS don't you? Mahalo for your thoughtful analysis. It is in line with the NRA guru Wayne La Pierre saying the only way to combat a bad man with a gun is a good man with a gun. I don't know how you can tell who is on first though. I know. It's complicated.

True. But at least the cops won't ever again be able to murder an unarmed black man. Not if they are all armed. Thank you for your reply pearl! :)

Poor cops are always getting a bad wrap about murdering unarmed black men. This way that would no longer be an option for them. They wouldn't have an advantage. Woder how brave they'd be then? Thank you for your reply Sharonna! :)

If all blacks were armed though no cop would ever be accused of murdering an unarmed black man again. They would no longer have that advantage. Things would be even. Thank you for your reply m2c and Happy Monday to thee! :)
I'm not. It's tongue in cheek.
Believe it. I asked it.
