((hugs)) Wildflowers! Absolutely m'dear. That's it. Wildflowers! They are so beautiful DdbTD! Jim says his mom used to call them "volunteers" which I think is very cute. Thank you for your reply and Happy Monday! :)

If it blooms, it's a flower. It doesn't matter if it's a weed or not.

It's subjective.  Call it a flower if you like.   Some people consider buttercups and dandelions weeds, others flowers.

I don't know what a buttercup looks like but I do think of dandelions as flowers and have since I was a child. Thank you for your reply Thriftymaid and Happy Monday! :)

  • Doesn't that presuppose that all flowers are beautiful? or that beauty is what defines a flower?
Is a mouldy cabbage rose beautiful because it is a rose? Lots of questions there, don't you think?

Possibly Lucia. I asked the question I wanted to ask. Perhaps you might ask other questions that occur to you . Thank you for your reply and Happy Monday! :) I have no idea what a mouldy cabbage rose is. I know what cabbage is and what a rose is. But I don't know if you mean a rose that looks like a cabbage or a cabbage that looks like a rose. I cannot visualize what it could possibly look like because I have even never heard of it.
