I live in a pretty eclectic community. I doubt I'd get too many odd looks and might even make some new friends. : )

I would say "Thank you for thinking of me." And then remind the person wanting to give the car to me that I already have a car that I love and that runs well. I would then ask them perhaps they knew some else who could use it. If not maybe find a charity they would appreciate their donation.

  • I'd kinda get a kick out of driving a car that looked like that -- I've never minded looking ridiculous -- but I think I'll stick with my Toyota. I know that'll get me where I want to go.

  • Nay, Veena. Just accepting. As the poet (Ogden Nash) once said, "My position at the bottom of society I owe, to the qualities my parents bequeathed me long ago." Woe is me. :(

You always veil your brilliance well, the same Ogden Nash said,'I would live all my life in nonchalance and insouciance, were it not for making living, which is rather a nouciance;))

  • He's the only man in history to find a rhyme for boomerang.

    "Oh kangaroo, oh kangaroo,
be grateful that you're in the zoo.
You could be transmuted by a boomerang
    to zestful, tangy kangaroo meringue."

    Are you a fan?
