In the south a lot of people eat squirrel. I have never tried it, and frankly I don't think there is enough meat on them. I suppose if I were hungry enough I could eat it.
No I am not a bigot. I live in the south. It isn't on the menu but people hunt them and eat them. I have had several friends over the years tell me they like squirrel. And since there is no season for it they can hunt them year round. So If they feel the need to go hunting when nothing is in season they can go out and shoot squirrel. They eat opossum and turtle as well.
Francois was a waiter in a French restaurant but he was so slow that he was nicknamed The Snail. He was quite proud of his nickname and made sure that he never worked fast enough to lose it.
