In the south a lot of people eat squirrel. I have never tried it, and frankly I don't think there is enough meat on them. I suppose if I were hungry enough I could eat it.

A lot? I've never seen it on a menu in my travels. Are you a bigot? This post was edited by O-uknow at January 29, 2017 10:34 PM MST

No I am not a bigot. I live in the south. It isn't on the menu but people hunt them and eat them. I have had several friends over the years tell me they like squirrel. And since there is no season for it they can hunt them year round. So If they feel the need to go hunting when nothing is in season they can go out and shoot squirrel. They eat opossum and turtle as well.

  • Francois was a waiter in a French restaurant but he was so slow that he was nicknamed The Snail. He was quite proud of his nickname and made sure that he never worked fast enough to lose it.

But away from work he drove a fast sports car and he loved to race it through the traffic. He was so proud of his nickname that he had a big 'S' painted on both doors of the car. One day he drove past the restaurant so fast that he almost created a Doppler effect.

The restaurateur, who was standing outside with his maitre d' was so impressed that he said, "Look at that S car go."
