When Cops make mistakes and someone dies they cover it up.. If they can.

When Surgeons make mistakes the medical profession covers it up.. If they can.

But if an Aircraft fitter makes a mistake when servicing and overhauling an aircraft and it crashed. The crash site investigation team will always find the mistake and be able to track the records back to the Aircraft fitter.. No escape..  You cannot make a mistake when you're an aircraft servicing technician..

Engineers who design buildings, boats, aircraft and bridges are held to a very high standard above engineers who design lawnmowers or streets.

Oh and you can add Nuclear Industry Workers..   If they make a big mistake at a nuclear reactor then you get a Fukushima or a Chernobyl....

And get away with it. That is very good to know. I guess there isn't a similar bonding of aircraft servicing technicians to lie for one another and cover anything up.  Why don't the police and the mecical profession  have a similar investigative team that uncoverss and discloses the truth? Thank you for your reply Adam and Happy Monday! :)

It's the difference between the relationship within the different arms of an organization...

In the example i gave the aircraft maintenance technician is an Employee of a Employer .. This is a divided exploited / exploiter kind of relationship..  a Them and Us kind if division within the industry.. So there is no loyalty or inclination for a CEO in an aircraft industry to protect a disposable worker.. In fact the CEO of such a n organization would be overjoyed if the blame for the crash is placed upon the technician. That way they can be free from a lot of the personal legal troubles that a crash could cause them..

In the medical industry Doctors are considered fellow professionals and are valued members of a group..  The AMA is a Doctors Union who is out to protect and promote the interest of Doctors so when a Doctor has made a blunder the AMA will be out to protect their member and other Doctors will naturally try to assist that Surgeon to avoid criminal or legal problems.. They instinctively know that they too could one day stuff up and they also would really want other Doctors and the AMA to work to cover their stuff up and save their carriers..

In the police law enforcement environment the Leadership are all former recruits and have gone through their police carriers climbing up the ladder to the position of leadership and thus they look upon the junior police as being fellow professionals with them who are just in the early stages of their carrier.. There is a similar police union given different names in different nations ( I do not know what it is called in the USA? ) that is also set up to advocate and protect the interest of it's Members.. And all police no matter what rank are linked into this advocacy organization..  Like the Doctor who stuffs up there are police who will also stuff up during their carriers and other police will instinctively work to cover their mistake because they fear that sometime during their carrier they may also stuff up and they too will want their fellow officers to do their best to protect them from any negative consequence from their error..

Of course in both the police and the surgeon situation corrupt cops and grossly negligent professionals can do far more damage because they can do their damage multiple times and devastate multiple lives because their respective industry organization and culture is set up to protect them and hide their unprofessional acts.. In the aircraft industry the worker is just an expendable lesser being .. So when the aircraft techo stuffs up then he is thrown to the lions without a moments hesitation..
