  • Mrs Didge and I spent our 30th wedding anniversary on the Solway Lass. We ate lunch out on deck, under the sails, where it got very cold very quickly. But it still tasted great and we enjoyed the experience.

  • It was a calm day.

    On another occasion we went out to the Great Barrier Reef on a sailboat and it was so rough that the first of the passengers started throwing up before we left the harbour. But we were told to stay on deck and watch the horizon, and it worked. No trouble at all.

  • Nah, it's too far off shore. One place I went was 30 km out, another was 70 km, I forget how far the third was.
