#HUNGER GAMES IN OUTER SPACE
I thought it was excellent ... both as a sci-fi movie and an anti apartheid film ... it showed how we often become what we fear in others ... but watch and decide for yourself
I agree. It was a pretty good sci-fi flick that made some salient points about xenophobia, ghettoization, poverty, media shaping perceptions, and so forth. However, it doesn't necessarily stand up to multiple viewings because then some of the plot holes become more obvious.
Step, I'm not at all. I hate anything like this that looks FAMILIAR. That bothers me. I liked the "Peter Jackson made it" part. But he also made King Kong and I have no interest in that one either.
Thanks for the head's up. I just wondered. I saw that alien talking and telling the earthlings they mean no harm in the trailer and I immediately stopped caring.
OS, that was what I was wondering about. If there was "more" to it than just the plot that looks so obvious. I am not that crazy about outer space aliens unless they are freaking SUPER STAR ones.
I mean, after you create a metal insect that cannot be killed by anything known to man and it salivates? What can ever top that? My favorite alien monster ever.
Wow. I just might have to now. Something you said there perked my interest. I like your take on it. Thanks Ms. Oz.
It was pretty badass.
