I do believe there is a lot of truth in your answer and observation. Even when they are texting you, are they conveying what they are thinking or are they just typing you a text to not pay attention to what they might need to be paying attention to? Is it a means of real communication... or a cop out? Who knows? But, I think you are right for whatever reason they may be texting. Thanks TomThumb!
We tend to value our own opinions more than those of others so we allow their ideas to drift across our minds like a warm breeze -- in one ear and out the other.
Did you hear that?? I thought it might be what Didge's accent and voice might sound like.. I don't know for sure... But, wait! I was reading and listening... Yes Indeed my friend. Thank you! Echooo Echoooo Echoooo
I've often wondered this. A conversation is a dialogue. However most people tend to make it about monologues. Look around this site inside certain questions, and you will become aware about this phenomenon. It's scary, and this is one thing that education alone won't make change. It's about values and behaviour. Gah.
Cos most times people are just waiting for their turn to speak and thinking about what they want to say. I'm trying stop do that but is hard for me .... I'm getting better at that though. ...no I am not :)
