Even with the best intentions some things can turn out very badly. If a Bad Intentioner achieves his goals is he a success or failure?

  • Achievement equals success. Mind you, a person can be successful and still be a despicable human being. So economic success does not necessarily equate to a successful life.

I once read a book called "The Other Half" in which each odd-numbered chapter gave a profile on somebody who had apparently had a successful life while the even numbered chapters show the failures. It was cleverly done because it was clear that not all those successful people were happy and not all the "unsuccessful" people were dissatisfied with their lives.

Novel idea for a book. Things are not always what they seem. You can't judge a book by its cover. Still waters run deep. Don 't count your chickens before they hatch nor carry their eggs in one basket. A stitch in time saves nine. Neither a borrower nor lender be. Words to live by! Thank you for your reply Didge! :)
