  • I'm pretty flexible. I just love to compete. Getting the trophy is something of a bonus -- and something of a *sob* rarity.

    One I was proud of, and which was completely unexpected, was a trophy for winning an amateur square dance calling competition. When you sing like I do something like that isn't really on the cards. It was a case of bulldust and laughter beating the vocal cords or the more musical competitors. (It wasn't a popular win, but I didn't care. It was MINE.)
