    This is a great question.

I'm athletic for the sake of fitness and health, I'm not really in it as a competitor.

    :)

I'd love to win gold in the 30 meter mosey.  Happy Saturday, Rosie. :)

  • I was never that competitive but Mrs Didge was the NSW Veteran Triathlon Champion. She had some hot competition, too.

One one occasion we entered a fun run called "Talay's Twosome" sponsored by Jim Talay's running shop. It was a race for couples in which the ages were added together to determine your category. We were in the 90-105 year old group. The race consisted of three 8 km (5 mile) laps, one partner to run one of them, the other partner to run two.

We had ridden our tandem bicycle to the starty -- 40 kms from home -- and ran into a head wind. We fought it all the way down and arrived just in time for the start. The Didgette said, "I'm going first while I'm warmed up," and she leapt off the bike, pulled on her running shoes, and line up for the start.

Now here's a question for you: when a couple ride to a twosome on a tandem, where would you expect them to finish? Second, of course!
