It is, HOWEVER with freedom of speech follows a huge responsibility to use it wisely. The right to speak isn't the same as an obligation to speak. We are all part of a community, and we should always bear this in mind. Thank you Rosei G, and a happy Tuesday to you.

I disagree with you m'dear. I think we DO have an obligation to speak up when we see injustice being dished out to our fellow human beings. I think to stay quiet so YOU don't become a target too is not desirable but it is what many choose to do. Speaking up about what you think is wrong doesn't have to be in words that inflame. I think choosing sides and pointing out wrongs and holding people accountable is part of being a functioning participant in society. So I do. Silence is not for me when words are what are needed.  Disagreement is a good thing. It gets you to think about what the other person thinks. That leads to understanding. Hopefully, Thank you for your follow-up comment SH and Happy Tuesday! :)

It's hopeless Marguerite.  It shows the inherent racism that permeates society. Attacking a group like Black Lives Matter by calling it racist and terrorist does not show any empathy whatsoever about what blacks experience in life. The more you try to point it out the less they listen to you. As William Bendix said years ago on his radio show "The Life of Riley". "Don't confuse me with facts. I have made up my head " or words to that effect. That is the reality of life  . It is based on the worst in people so the best rarely gets a chance to be heard. Thank you for your thoughtful reply and Happy Tuesday m'dear! :)

My "obligation to speak" comment goes for bigotry, racism and spreading hatred in general. I do believe in speaking up, and in supporting those being targeted by those using words within the mentioned. Sorry, I didn't came through that clear. I am not advocating silence.

Like said, I believe in treating others with mutually respect. It will be the only way debating, discussing subjects of different views. It however takes an open mind and a will to actually communicate with each other, and not only make it dialogues with each other.

Seems like the vast majority of police problems are in the states and cities that have been controlled by democrats for generations. You cannot call what we experience here bullshit because it does not fit your needs.

We are happy with the way our LE act and respond and think maybe your liberal cities should take a lesson.

@Rosie, here is something else for you not to answer. Why is okay for the left to call anyone who disagrees with Obama a racist?

It depends on what the rest of the sentence that have been abbreviated into a slogan say:

    a) "black lives matter just as much as any other lives". fx as a response to the amazingly low nr of prosecutions and convictions of KKK members after black corpses were found.

    b) "black lives matter more than other lives".

    c) "black lives matter less than other lives".

statement a) would not be racist, but statements b) and c) would ;-))

@"Twice as many whites are shot by police than blacks."

That would be a good argument if the ratio of 'white people' to 'black people' were 2:1. Last I heard it was more like 10:1. All assuming the statistic you quote is correct ;-))

Do the left do that? Calling anyone who disagree with Obama a racist.

Or do they say it about the fairly few people who go to extreme lengths to discredit him (fx: with the baseless propaganda that he wasnt born in the USofA).
