I'd fire up my Optometrist app and search for updates.
But a scarier scenario: I'm driving down the highway and I get an optical migraine and my vision expires. I pull over -- immediately -- and prepare to spend a couple of hours being shouted at by passing motorists.
It's not. Fortunately it hasn't happened when I've been driving but I'd have no hesitation in stopping. A blind man has no right to be in control of a car.
It's not like your glasses or contacts instantly disappear, when they no longer fit your actual prescription needs. For most people, it's a gradual process ... and you don't even realize how bad your old prescription was, until you get a new one. LOL

Yeah, apparently I was driving a bit like a drunk. I was trying to get home before the pain set in because I was really close and it was like 3am so I was the only person on the road, aside from the cop that magically materialized behind me.
It wouldn't make much difference to me, as the spectacles don't just "expire" and eyesight usually drifts slowly anyway; but my opticians send me a nice appointment invitation a couple of weeks to so prior to my bi-annual eye-tests.
