    No, I didn't know that, but considering it was over 35 years ago and there are more than 300 million people in the US it doesn't really surprise me.

    Did Yoko Ono mention that 2/3 of those deaths were suicides from self-inflicted gunshots? It is still tragic, and may not change any arguments for or against gun control, but it would affect the perception of just how dangerous life is for the average American.
